Awake a 4 am with the drip, drip, drip….in and out of sleep until 5 am and finally got up about 5:30….Jim had been up about 5 and turned on the heater…cold morning.

But:   dropped another pound….scales at 134 lbs. this morning!

We’re going to the movies at noon today to see PI…with the Westmorelands.

I called Betty this morning about 7 am my time.  She’d just gotten out of the shower and sounded good.  Said she’d done it herself but sitting on a stool in the shower.  She’s excited about Mary coming for lunch/dinner today.

Worked on my new speech presentation for OLLI off and on all day.

Breakfast was about 8:30 am….oats and applesauce, coffee

At 9:30 am we did our 2 mile walk…so cold we came back for jackets and gloves.

10:45 am….started to rain and turned to hail….enough so that it looked like snow on the grass.  Only lasted about 5 minutes.

11:20 am…picked up Westmorelands to go see PI movie in Fullerton…still raining.

Ate a granola bar during the movie.

Called Miss Betty about 6 pm….also had talked to Mary this afternoon.  They’d had a frustrating day with Betty’s doctors.  Sounds like they are going to look for a different doctor.

Got home about 3:30 pm and had the rest of the rice, chicken and veg. … a bowl full from the other night….that was my early dinner.  Later I had a cup of almonds, raisins and some choc chips for dessert.  That was it for the day.

Washed my hair about 6 pm and by 8:30…I called it a night…haven’t gone to sleep that early for a long time.
