Record time trip to pick up Mary F. from Alyassa's...no traffic! 45 min each way. When we arrived home Bonnie & I went shopping for computer sleaves....at Radio Shack and then Target. By the time we arrived home Bill had arrived...he'd rented a car.
Visited for a while and then Mary F. woke up from her nap....so they got to meet and then Bill, Bonnie, Jim and I took for for Newport Beach. Ate lunch at the Crab Cooker in Newport and then rode the ferry boat across to Balboa Island. From there we drove to Laguna Beach and stopped in south Laguna at what we thought was an art gallery....was a small annex attached to a beautiful hotel with rooms ranging from $400+ to $1200....absolutely breathtaking. We had to use valet parking and took a while to get the car back.
Then we continued south to Dana Point for wonderful views of the harbor. Then heading north we drove around San Juan Capistrano and the mission before our final push for home. Arrived about 4 pm....It's now after 5 and I'm baking an eggplant dish to take to the party...Bill is a vegetarian and want to make sure there is something for him to eat...hoping that Kelly makes some fish.
So far so good....everyone seems very comfortable with each other. Bill is sleeping in the den tonight and tomorrow I think Mary will replace me and they will all drive to Huntington Library for a visit...then back to Yorba Linda for an early dinner...Bonnie wants to treat at Joaquins and then Bill will drive home. Mary leaves very early on Monday morning.
Calories today...had cold slaw and fish at lunch....tonight will be salad and speggitti plus cake and ice cream so will probably blow that....Monday will be a new leaf.
