The good things about yesterday were the gym for an hour and a good dinner... chicken & veg. soup. Bad...peanut butter, ice cream, coolwhip with honey and too many nuts.
Plan to do better today. Talked with Betty & Mary yesterday....they have an elephant in their room....the story about Betty cleaning out her mess...neither will talk about it.
We watched a season final on West Wing last night...checked with Blockbuster....there are 2 more seasons after this one. We did set up season 1 & 2 to come in the mail.
I spent most of yesterday on Quicken....decided to load the 2010 version in my laptop and get to working on it. Also needed one of my bookkeeping forms and attached the external backup drive (last updated in January 2009) and pulled those from there....had to do a little updating but was sure better than retyping all three forms. Hopefully Russ arrives home tonight and by this weekend I'll know whether or not they can get my data off of the old one.
Jim is looking at new toilets for a new one for the guest bath downstairs. We've got the water turned off because it runs constantly.
8 pm.... Mary F. called....rings arrived from Barbara....I think she likes them?? they are eternity rings...small diamond all the way around each thin ring...you can wear them individually, stacked or with other rings. Very different from the ones she got the other two girls. I talked to Barbara twice today...both times briefly as she was getting ready for a lunch date.
Worked on Quicken for March & April....Mary B. called...seems to be in good spirits. About 2 pm Jim and I went to Lowes in Fullerton and purchased a new toilet for the downstairs. The seat is the same height as the old one....had to go more expensive than he wanted to because of the shelf above....otherwise we would have to redo whole bathroom and he's not ready to do that.
Afterwards we headed for Macroni Grill in Anaheim Hills to use the gift card that Mihay's sent to us last year....$25 bought a very nice lunch....enjoyed it...Jim had never been to the restaurant.
I had eggplant parmesan...and we shared a wonderful bread dipped in olive oil with olives and then a plate of bruschetta. Absolutely stuffed!
Came home and unloaded the toilet before sitting down to watch an old movie "Tango" that we'd gotten from Blockbuster....made in Argentina...English subtitles....convaluded but interesting...some fantastic Tango dancing!
We had our dessert during the movie....more of the ice cream that Jim purchased yesterday. I don't think my hour of exercise was enough for what I ate today.
