February 27, 2010

Woke about 4 am...nightmare and it had started to rain. I finally got up about 5:30 and got a cup of coffee. I don't think I'm going to weight this morning...too much carbs yesterday....had some at every meal.

I finished the book about My Prison My Home...the 65 year old Iranian woman who was jailed in 2007 and held for 4 months...detained a total of 8 months...interesting but I finally started skipping some of the parts about the political aspects of Iran.

I'm reading a light book now called the Prodigal Wife....good and an easy read. Small book so should finish it over the weekend....then I will take both back to the Library.

I decided to download a book on my Ipod last night....looked for an inexpensive one under $10....hard to find....most were $15 - $30. Ended up with Wuthering Heights. It's a bit over 12 hours of listening. Took about an hour to download (not quite) but transfered to my Ipod in a minute. Will give me an alternative to music. Thinking about "renting" a movie and downloading that also....you only get to watch it once and you have to do that within 30 days.

It is raining pretty steady outside... Jenn & Kelly are in Big Bear with friends...talked to them last night and they said that the road in front of the house...Fairway...only has room for one car at a time....difficult to pass... they're going to have to put chains on before the end of the day. Said the traffic going up was light... many people probably didn't go because of the pending storm. Kelly said that the porch is still high with old snow...

Did I tell you that I talked to Joe and asked him to bring his video camera to the wedding? He mentioned his tripod...but I told him no as it would be a lot of work to bring that. My thought is that we'll take the tape from his video camera and give it to them...they can transfer it to DVD and make their own movie... Bonnie has a new Sony camcorder like Jim's and with Jim's between the 3 we should get enough raw video for them to work with.

I changed my Skype to International last night...will leave it there until we get home in August.
