Jim is doing Bowers today...I'm reading the paper for computer advertisements. Tushar thinks I should go for a package deal as there has been so much new technology with the screens over the past 6 years. ???? Will talk to Russ for his views on this.
Sun is shinning....I screwed up on Big Bear....I have given all the kids access to the Google Calendar and I'd forgotten to put our hair dresser down....opps....Jenn & Kelly asked for it...so will have to move her to another weekend. Shouldn't be a problem as there should be snow up there until April.
Barbara called yesterday....her friend got the passport so trip is on for 4 of us....except no one in California is suppose to know that....everyone is being told that it is only three of us going....so mums the word when you are here in May. She is even paying for a limo to take the 3 of us and pick us up from LAX so that no one surprises us at the airport....such drama.
Also...Barbara's 71st birthday is Wednesday...yesterday she bought herself a new Mercedes for her birthday. The BMW that she has was giving her all kinds of problems and was due for major repairs even though it is not very old. The have always had Mercedes before so are happy to be back to that brand. They'd gotten a very good deal from their son Dennis' ex wife on the BMW when it was only a year old....
Time to quit and get ready for church....driving separate cars as Jim is going to Bowers for the day right after church.
8:30 am spent most of the day working on reservations for July in France after Paris. Jim gave me a scare when he called at noon to say he was on his way home from Bowers. I had no ideal as he said he couldn't talk...whether or not he'd quit Bowers, had an accident, or some other major catastrophe had happened. I turned on the news immediately but didn't see anything there so I just had to wait until he got home about twenty minutes later.
Nothing....he'd had a twinge in his calf and decided not to push it.
We went shopping for bargains at CVS, stopped by to see Joe...Laura was gone...and then exchanged the movie from last night for "Cloudy with Meatballs"....Jim watched it...said it was just okay...glad we didn't pay money for it. Right now we have a free exchange in the store for each one that we receive in the mail.
Food....had spinach omelet with cheese for breakfast
lunch...small bowl of veg soup and 1/2 roll with butter then a peanut butter sandwich!!!!!
good thing I went to the gym at 3:30
after the gym the only food I ate was a cup of jello with cool whip so maybe I'll be okay.
Talked to Mary F. and she has asked Mary B. to help her with scheduling at the wedding...I think that will be a good plan for all of us. We've also agreed not to hire expensive people for photos and video....we'll have to work on that one.
Saw photos on Leisure Lake website of Phil and his brother playing music. What Jim wouldn't give to have a brother like Phil....
I emailed the Olive Mill in France tonight about our staying at their place on July 17th...will be interesting to see what I get as a response. Hopefully the English speaking clerk is still with them and will write to us in English.
