Up about 7 am...weight the same at 132 lbs... Open the gate as Barbara was on her way to meet her handyman here...they are driving to Palm Springs for repairs...he lives in Yorba Linda. He's the one that she pays $80/hr ... it's going to be an expensive day. She may be staying overnight if they get back late. She has some roof problems out there.

Took Jim with us when Carolyn and I went to the gym at 9 am. I started a new Kennedy book...I burned 20 more calories (per the elliptical machine) by reading a book instead of a magazine while on the machine. Must be that I keep my arms on the machine more than when I'm constantly turning pages. This morning it said 270 calories burned.

We're waiting for the big rain to hit...had some sprinkles so far but that's it. It's now 11:30 am...

Breakfast after the gym: spinach omelet with cheese....after looking at the content calorie & carb wise I think that I need to either use different cheese or leave it off....2 slices of American cheese was 140 calories and 40 carbs.

Last night was fun...we had 13 ladies and stayed for 2.5 hours....lots of talking about everything. Carolyn announced that she and Gordon are done. They've been dating steady for 2 years. He is VERY wealthy widower and 75 years old...she is late 60's and divorced very young. Biggest problem is one of two daughters that he has and he still has not cleaned dead wife out of his life. He needs to resolve those issues before she will consider having him back. She's already signed up for E-Harmony and has had one lunch date....not her type she decided.

It's fun to live a little vicariously through her romances....I'm her "old oak tree".
