Last night was really great. Went with two good friends on the block plus there were 5 more people there that I knew. And, the music was fabulous.
The musicians were Hawk, Reiman and Engqvist....danish jazz musicians. Hawk is a blind guitar player...writes his music and works with his wife Anna Lia Bright to create the words for his songs.
The Keyboard player is Poul Reiman....the drummer was Henrik Engqvist.
Jim and I have been working on our trip...Jenn & Kelly got us started this morning. I really have to watch Jim as he seems to get confused easily...oh dear...we're getting older.
Breakfast about 11 am was an omelet with cheese and bacon. Jello & coolwhip about 2 pm.
7 pm...worked on June trip most of the afternoon. Finally walked 2 miles around the lake just after dark. Dropped of Big Bear Books to Bridgett...they are renting in for President's weekend for their family.
dinner after I got home: veg soup, nuts and jello with coolwhip.
I was looking at the dinner cruise for Paris...will probably cost me 135 euros each....expensive but that is the only meal we're paying for during the week. Mary has sent a letter off to a priest in Paris to see if we can arrange a renewal of vows at Notre Dame....will be amazed if she can.
Foam in the boat seats are still wet...
Jim rented a car for after Paris...we first set it up for July 30th to Aug. 8th...then found out after we ordered it that our credit card insurance was only good for 30 days...so called and changed the order from July 9th to Aug. 8th...pick up and return at a train station in Paris. We plan to spend the last few days back in Paris. What to do prior to.....if we decide we want a car...I will rent one in my name on my card for the first 10 days. We had looked at the lease program that we've done before (where you get a brand new car) but it was $500 more than just renting a car. Most of the difference is in the insurance as we would HAVE to take their insurance on the lease=purchase option.
Going to watch Burn Notice now....bye
