We went to church last night instead of this morning...good as Jim is sleeping in. I had the strangest dream last night about George Clooney....he'd decided to get married and I was one of the finalist...really strange...my best feature was that I wasn't afraid to do anything...ie sky diving, skiing, etc etc etc... but woke before the selection...darn....
Lights all worked after the rain storm except for the blowup on top of the patio roof....it has rain inside and we need to get up there and drain the water...it tried to blow up but we could smell the motor.... of course we need to reset the dock lights under the bar...that always goes off in rain.
Breakfast: banana & flaxseed plus coffee...
Left about 10 am...didn't return home until 1:30 pm....went to see the insurance lady and then planned to go next door to the Cable TV about their removing the weather channel...found out they'd moved 8 miles away! Next trip was to Radio Shack where they replaced the battery in my car remote...now working just fine...had to insert it into the car for it to reprogram. Love using the button on the driver door to lock the car when I get out...also can do it at the trunk. It does pay to read the manual for the car!
Returned to movie to Blockbuster and then drove to the new TV place. From there I hit the freeway and went to Target for some Christmas shopping....the $10 gifts to go with the gift cards....so they all get something immediately when they open their gifts. From there I went to Costco and did major shopping for all the food for the party....it sure adds up fast.
Arrived home and Jim had just finished cleaning the garage...we may have to use it Saturday as the weather is now predicting rain for our party.
Lunch: Spinach omelet with cheese and a glass of wine...jello & coolwhip for dessert.
Got the guest room set up, wrapped the gifts for Jay's family (he is taking them home with him) and other odds and ends. We then stopped to watch a "Closer" TV show that Jim had taped.
Mary B. called about the blog in the Bradenton Herald's website...her neighbor had seen it. We both found it about the same time. Nice article about our visit and a photo of us from London Eye.
For dinner I fixed a pre-cooked pork roast that I'd picked up at Costo...yummy ... but probably not good for my diet...it was an apple stuffing...plus peas...water and no dessert. Will be interesting to see what it says tomorrow morning.
At 7 pm Jim and I are going to dress warmly and go for a 2 mile walk around the lake...it's been a couple of days since we've walked and we both need the exercise.
Oh Wow.... 129 and George Clooney
ReplyDeleteWe did get Santa dried out and back up again. Its warm tonight so we are going out on the cart to see the lights.
