December 12, 2009

Woke up about 6 am...weight still at 130 lbs...can't seem to get below..must be the high carb drinks that I'm drinking.

It is RAIN, RAIN, RAIN.....report is that it's going to be doing that until sometime tomorrow. So we have arranged for the cars to stay in another garage, the tarp covering the patio cover is already leaking but we have two popup tents coming for the patio. The boat parade is schedule to happen. So far it looks like many are coming even with the rain....even Thelma emailed this morning that she was definitely coming! Once this storm is over the weather looks clear for the next ten days! I hoping to go to Big Bear from 18th to 21st.

Tom is eating breakfast with me in the kitchen while I type this...I'd come down to the kitchen with my laptop so I would disturb him in the attic.

NEXT DAY:

Tom woke up and soon we were connected to Holly and Lily with Skype and Tom visited for nearly 1/2 an hour with them via the Internet...

The day passed rapidly...I was busy posting my East Lake photos of the lights in between doing all the finishing touches for the party. Bill & the boys arrived about noon and then I sent them off to a movie and early dinner...Jay and Tom went Christmas Shopping with Wendy and Russ arrived with a popup tent for the patio....Wendy had brought her tent over also. The weather continues to rain and the prediction is not good.

By five Jenn & Kelly had arrived, Wendy was back and things were moving fast. Thelma arrived early so we got a chance to visit...will add her photo...and soon we were busy with guests arriving every few minutes. We ended up with nearly 70 people...24 were children who spent the evening in the garage that was set up with WII Games and music sessions....

The storm got worse and worse....we had 12 boats in the parade...including Russ & Bill that took our boat out with several of the children...they were all soak when the returned...had to open windows to keep them from fogging up! Wendy's tent flew on top of the roof with the wind...crazy night.
