December 2, 2009

Up about 7 am....very overcast this morning...storms expected. weight 131 lbs. breakfast...banana plus coffee.

About 8:30 I left for a walk...took paper to Shirley and picked up Derek & dog who walked with me for 45 minutes at a brisk pace. Arrived home & ate some nuts. Jim called...trying to do his skype account....Mary went to get Betty while I worked with Jim. He finally gave up. He was probably using the back line and could not get long distance to work on the telephone....bottom line he was very frustrated. Good thing I'm going home tomorrow.

Then Derek and Shirley showed up...the manager of the park is hassling them about the dog...requesting a note from a doctor....per Derek not required if you have federal tags as a service dog. Shirley very upset...she's even talked to the owner of her unit who is okay with the dog. Says she will definitely not even consider returning to this park as an owner or renter. We'll see what happens there in the future.

Weather is still holding...sun comes and goes...but storm still expected in the afternoon.

At Tampa Airport next day:

Mary & Phil returned from the doctor's office just after we'd finish 5 games of LRC with the dice...Joe seemed to like the game. And we had the wine that Mary'd purchased the day before. Then we all headed for Anna Marie Island for a good fish dinner....I had crab cakes...more like pancakes...and sweet potato fries along with a margarita with lots of salt on the glass...and it was a double...8 ozs.... enjoyed the meal and glad that we didn't have keylime pie as usual.

Arrived home just before the storm arrived. Joe stayed for a short time and was ready to leave as Shirley and Derek arrived....they'd dropped Betty and Charlotte off....both were very tired.
They took Joe over to their place for another twenty minutes and then he finally left for home after 8:30.....driving his motor home right into the worst of the storm. But he arrived safely...Shirley called him and reported in to us before 9:30 pm. Lots of lightening, thunder and heavy rain off and on all night...but it was clear in the morning.
