Woke up about 5 and finally got out of bed at 6 am...now 6:45 and Jim is still sleeping. Weight was at 132 lbs. this morning....thanks to the food I ate last night....

Checked the bank online and sure enough Bill has already opened his Christmas present and bank his $3000. check. I think that his going to Paris is a lost cause. I'd given him their presents when he was here on the 12th as he works Christmas Eve. Each gift had a tag not to peek before 24th but I'm sure they are all opened by now. Oh well.....

We're leaving for Big Bear as soon as Jim gets up. We haven't stayed there over night for months. Will be nice to spend 2 nights...I plan to read my new Ted Kennedy book while I'm there...it's very big but it's also large print. We have wind this morning here....weather is supposed to get colder but no snow expected over the weekend. Our friends that are flying out from Maryland and spending Christmas at the cabin in Big Bear may have trouble getting out due to storms.

The clubhouse called yesterday about photos of the boats for the newsletter...I sent them 3 that I have (I took a lot on Sunday night that didn't come out too well) and directed them to my web albums to see if there were some there they could use.

4:30 pm....arrived in Big Bear about 10 am...stopped for Breakfast Burrieto at Carls Jr. on the way up...I ate 1/2 and gave Jim the rest of it. For Dinner/Late Lunch we went to Carl's again and each got a lettuce wrap portobello mushroom burger....yes...we're using coupons....

The kids did nothing at Thanksgiving with Christmas decorations....so I drug the boxes down from the attic after we finished shoveling out the driveways. Not a lot of snow but the entry to the driveway was blocked with a couple of feet of ICE from the street clearings...we worked together for over half an hour and got it clear enough to get in and out. Sam called...they are snowed in in Virginia and have gotten flights out for early Monday morning from Reighligh NC...they are driving there tomorrow....so...after I make sure they are on the plane...we'll still pack up and go down Monday morning. They are due to arrive in California by 2 pm...

I got the Christmas boxes down...went to put the tree together and the small piece that holds the legs is missing...off to K-Mart for a new tree...got one1/2 price for $30. We're not putting the icicles up....just the lighted raindeer in the windows.

Talked to Mary B. on the way up....I gave her a bad time about not blogging. She told me a couple of days again that Phil & his brother have been asked to audition for the a TV show

talent show...can't remember the name.
