Last night we went with Kelly & Peggy....found out Jenn was on the church women's retreat and she will go tonight to hear Alyssa's Christmas Concert at Cal State Univ at Long Beach. It was in a large old church....lots of natural woods....really beautiful. At the end they played Silent Night after each member of the choir had lite a candle and then they silently filed out during the music. Very beautiful ending. The choir surrounded the audience...they were in the sancutary, choir and surrounding us in the balcony on both sides and in the back. And, all singing together at times.
We arrived home at 11 pm and called Mary F. on Tushar's cell phone using my Skype...then after they answered we connect on Skype using Jim' computer for the large screen. We talked for a good twenty minutes or more with Lincoln & Ruby, Tushar's parents, with Mary....Tushar was there but off screen as it was a tight squeeze to get 3 on the screen together. They are very quiet people and seemed very nice. Easy to understand them...Mary kept telling them about the photos etc. in our office and I ended up bringing some up to the camera so that they could see them better. Jim lasted for about 10 minutes and then went to bed. He was exhusted after a long day....thankfully, Kelly drove our car for us...nice to have a driver...he took a sleeping pill...has to do Bowers Museum today...expects large crowd because it is a free entry day and the last day of this exhibit. I need to get him up soon so we can go to church before he leaves.
I finished my bowl sparkleball last night...ended up putting 100 lights in each side...I put four holes in each bowl and 2 lights in each hole. Will take some photos when hung...I'm putting it by the front door outside.
Ate a banana and coffee now
After church Russ brought me home...they are coming back over this evening.
Worked all day on Christmas decorations...hung the new sparkleball...finished dock lights, hung Santa on the rope, put the lights on the tree in living room, greenery on the staircase, and on and on and on....stopped about 4 pm.
Food: lunch was salad with vinegar dressing , cheese sticks (2) ...some nuts .. glass of wine
Dinner: made spinach omelet for both Jim and myself...he really liked it...then jello with coolwhip and a glass of red wine.
Long day...on my feet all day...tired...
