We arrive at Toyota Car Agency in Corona before 7 am....checked the car in for oil change and other repairs that ended up at just under $200. These old cars take lots more maintenance!
We walked for an hour and then spent the rest of the time in the waiting room reading our books. I've started the new book on Tuscany. Good..... but for some reason she seems to be using too many adjectives! Not sure why I feel that way....I'm sure it will get better as I go. Will take it to San Francisco with me.
Before 9:30 am we were on our way to Big Bear....Before 1 pm we were back in the car and headed home. Stopped in Riverside for a sandwich. Arrived home by 2:30 ... Jim is now off getting his hair cut.
MONDAY
Up at 6:30 am....weight at 130 lbs
9:30 am...walked two miles with Jim....hot day
10:30 am...breakfast:
banana and slice of bread, coffee
11 am....yogurt
Noon: go to see
movie: Farewell My Queen ... then to
Costco
3 pm....late lunch:
apple, 1/2 avocado, handful of almond nuts
4 pm...yogurt
6 pm...dinner: mixed
vegetables and 3 slices of cheese plus a glass of wine
7 pm...did my 2 mile evening walk...still warm out
9 pm....my piece of candy
The air conditioner in our bedroom is having problems. Appears that the drain for the condensation is clogged as it is leaking. Cleaned the filters yesterday and hope it mends itself. Otherwise another repair bill.
We do have much higher humidity now than normal???
Talked to Mary B. on the telephone on the way home from BB....will keep them in our prayers...and hopefully the cancer has not spread. Maybe another guitar will take his mind off of the problems.
