Up about 7:30 am....everyone else is still sleeping except for Holly who was off to work very early this morning. Holly has lost 20 lbs and looks great...see her photo taken in Hawaii on Facebook. She still has another twenty to lose to be at her wedding weight. Basically doing it with good food and cutting out the sugar. We all walked after dinner last night.
Dinner was pork, 2 types of melon, tiny potatoes & carrots, BBQ zuchini....delicious. And after our walk we each had a skinny cow. Jay & I took a second walk later with the dogs. So I got at least three miles in for the day.
Just lost my typing so here goes again:
Wednesday was a busy day...picked up Wendy and Josh at 7 am to take they to LAX for their flight to Cancun....they're going for a week with friends. We missed the big 4.5 earthquake at 9:30 am...centered in Yorba Linda....the houses on Via Rene were swaying people said. I'd felt a jolt about 1:30 am...but we missed the big one. Probably driving in the car when it happened.
The Laguna Beach Pageant of the Masters was fabulous. Went with the ELV group by bus. I've only been once before in the 1960's ... Jim said we went with Tommy & Thelma. So many technology changes has vastly improved the production. It was after midnight when we got home.
But we were on the road before 6 am on Thursday morning headed for San Francisco. Jim got an hour plus nap while I drove in the middle of the trip and then I got a short nap also. We made really good time and arrived about 2 pm. Their house is so lovely...Jay was busy canning bread & butter pickles when we arrived. He does love his garden.
Today we are going to go see the movie about the boy born in the garden. Thomas is away on a camping trip this week with friends so it's just Jay & Lily during the day. Tonight is their weekly Bocci Ball Group...they meet every Friday in the park for a family style picnic and then do their lawn bowling like in Italy & France. We're going along. Tomorrow is the wedding at 5 pm and then Thomas comes home so we'll be able to visit with him on Sunday. Monday we drive home.
Realized I forgot to pack my telephone charger...will look to purchase one today otherwise the car is the only way to charge our phones. Can't believe I left it home! Oh well. I keep an extra one in Big Bear because we've gone up without one there. Maybe I'll look at new phones....LOL....
I put the dogs out and gave them some food...will probably mess up their feeding schedule. Everyone is still asleep. I found Jay watching TV in the middle of the night when I got up for my usual trip to the bathroom...said he couldn't sleep and he didn't mention it but we're sleeping in the room with his computers.
