Up 2 pounds this morning after a wonderful day but with toooo much food! Needless to say...I'm not going to write all the wonderful things I had that we enjoyed on our day out.
We did walk in the morning...our 2 miles...then the piano tuner came about 11:30 am to tune the piano...so nice to hear it played well as he tested and tweaked the keys.
At 12:30 we headed out....first turning off the air conditioners and computers. It's a energy saver day for the Electric Company....we get so kind of rebate if we used less between 2 and 6 pm on designated days. We get an email the day before. There was one last Friday...that was a cinch as we were in San Francisco.
First stop was at a Best Buy to look again at the electronic toys that we want but don't need. Then to the movies at South Coast Plaza...saw a french film called "The Ditchdigger's Daughter"...very good...had subtitles as it was in French.
Then we drove to Newport Beach and ended up walking to the end of the pier and dinner at Ruby's at the end of the pier. Lots of people fishing as we sat outside and ate. Big juicy hamburgers (mine had veggie burgers instead of meat) with cheese and all the fixings. I had onion rings and Jim had blue cheese french fries. We shared a strawberry malt. Oh so good....but deadly! We could hardly walk back to the car we were soooo full.
Arrived home at 6:30 pm....turned on the air conditioners and headed out in the boat with a glass of wine to wait for the house to cool off....it was 88 degrees outside.
Russ stopped by for a visit about 9 pm....said that Linda is finally getting serious about getting a job. About time I said...their expenses are very high plus the cost of finishing the house. Oh well....enough said.
