Up about 6:30 am....134 lbs...finally....probably helped that I got lucky early this morning before I weighed. Going to be another warm day...sun is already shinning. Earlier in the week it had been overcast most of the morning.

I fixed the spinning ghost last night...doesn't look quite as good as when new....I need to fix her shoulders....

3 pm...breakfast was a banana and flaxseed with coffee...mid morning I ate a cheese stick and then at noon I drank a glass of green machine. Right now I'm eating a jello with a small scoop of cool whip. Also had a handful of nuts earlier.

Had a long talk with Mary about their coming out...talked twice. A long talk with Bonnie about Mary F. and then Jim and I spent hours searching for hotels for March. He found a site called otel.com that has some wonderful prices on what look like pretty good hotels. We ended up booking the one for Rome...in the Jewish Ghetto section...near the street that goes up to the Knights of Malta key hole...but on the other side of the river. Rick Steves shows it in his book for double with bath as a 2 star for 130 euros....the hotel site was even a bit more and we got four nights for $87 per room per night or about 60 euros for each room. The catch was that they charged our credit card NOW....since Barbara was out of town we decided to go ahead and book this on our credit card as the deal was so good. We're looking at their deals for Florence and Venice and are finding some....but will wait til next week and use Barbara's card is she wants to do them. If this works out as good as we think...we'll use them for our trip in June/July.

About 2 pm I checked my email and found a long letter from Tushar...answering some of my questions. I wrote back thanking him and asking more questions but tried to be friendly and positive. He is probably going to be in India for November thru January....per his letter...so we'll see how the relationship fairs long distance. Such troubling times.....

Sunday noon: I did pretty good food wise except for dinner I ate a flour taco shell filled with cheese and dipped into salza with 2 glasses of wine. Mary & Tushar called us as we were eating dinner...talked with speaker phone for them for a while. Mary said that they were not going to discuss his visa with us...I said fine...I just wanted to make sure that they were discussing it. A few tense moments but I think it ended on a good note. I'm taking a set of family dishes up to Mary from the china cabinet on 26th.
