From the airport we headed for City Hall in Downey to find out about several issues on the building....they're requiring us to put a lockbox for fireman on the outside and also looks like we're going to have to provide one space for handicap in the parking. Never ends. Talked about getting Barbara to buy our half and then reinvesting the money into something in our own name.....??? We're both tired of doing all the work and giving her half of the rent.
Made my doctor appointment in June for my annual physical and then called the handyman in Big Bear....I'm meeting him at noon to fix the tub fixtures that is running...not dripping...running full time when the water is turned on. Will do some cleaning and checking on things while I'm there.
Thursday we're going with Jenn to Huntington Gardens....up by Pasadena....for the day...it's a free day and we got the tickets before we left. Weather might be showers but will think positive.
I'm off to the gym with Carolyn at 2:30 pm....
I purchased and downloaded France and Paris Rick Steves 2011 books....they have all of his travel books for sale as "ebooks" now....Not as easy to use as I'd hoped....but works better on the computer than the small Reader. But....would have my laptop with me for planning and then the reader when I need to check something during the day. Will keep working with them and then by next trip will know how well they will work. You might have read that Marybeth has discovered ebooks for her computer also.
I wore my black outfit on Sunday to church and the brunch....got lots of compliments...thanks for encouraging me to purchase them.
