19 Mars 2011

To write the date...see above. No comas just put the day in front of the month.

Weight again this morning at 130 lbs. Just being extra careful but still enjoying life. I had the last piece of my quiche at noon yesterday and 1/2 avocado in my salad at dinner. Plus an bacon and cheese omelet for breakfast....string cheese and nuts for snacks...so as you can see I'm eating well. My goal is to be 130 lbs when the company leaves on Monday.

Right now we're expecting a big rain storm to arrive on Sunday...the worst is to be from 7 to 10 pm during our party. Good news is we don't have to worry about cleaning or setting up the patio. As of now we're expecting between 25 and 30 people. Several are bringing some desserts so that will cut down on my shopping list and I'm getting some cheeses for those that don't want to eat sweets. Carolyn is coming over and plans to help me "in the kitchen" but once it's set up it should take care of itself.

Yesterday I copied and pasted another copy of the book that goes with my "dialogue tapes" on my ipod....put them on large index cards....easier to use at the gym. Listened to the Ipod while I was doing this and then watch my French movie "Priceless" on my computer with subtitles. Next time I watch it I will leave the subtitles off.

I rented Toy Story 3 for Jim....I watched about half of it and then left him to enjoy...animated films are not my cup of tea.

I'm going to try to find the Spotted in France book at the Library ... sounds good. I've been reading a book about a dog called Katie in NYC that Bonnie had given me. Very easy to read.

Dialogue 1b

Salut, Isabelle! Hi Isabelle!
Ah! Salut Christophe! Hi Christople!
Comment vas-tu? How are you?
Pas mal. Et Toi? Ça va? Not bad. And you? Are you OK?
Oui, oui. Ça va très bien, merci. Yes, indeed. Everything's fine. Thanks.

Hope you enjoy and it's good for me to type the words....makes me use the accents.
