20 Mars 2011

Up at 7 am and the company has already left for the convention center....the Bishop of Orange County is saying the 8 am mass and they wanted to attend. They will be back at 3 pm this afternoon. Early dinner and then the party from 7 - 10 pm. They leave for Sacramento about 9 am Monday morning. Driving to LAX for a 1 pm flight.

Good news: weight this matin: 58.41 kg ... yes I finally lost another pound!!!! Now to keep it off with the party tonight.

French Dialogue 1c

Au revoir Monsieur..............Good-bye Sir.
Au revoir Madame..............Good-bye Madam.
Bonsoir Maxime...................Good evening Maxime.
Salut Florence! À bientôt!.............Bye Florence! See you soon!
Au revoir Mademoiselle..........Good-bye Miss.

Yesterday I went shopping for the party things. Four are bringing a dessert so I only got about three "sweet" things. Purchased raspberries, blackberries, strawberries and grapes. Will wash them and then set out cool whip to garnish with as they want. Some of the strawberries I will dip in choc...got both dark and white chips to melt to dip them in.

Also picked up Bree cheese, goat cheese with blueberries, and plain goat cheese. Will slice some of the hard cheese that I have also. Will put out a jar of lemon curd to put on the plain cheese.
Mixed nuts will complete the table. Picked up a dozen tulips for the centerpiece.

I made a flash drive full of photos from activities on the lake when the Herman's lived here and also added in photos from the trip we went on together to France and Italy. Will keep it running on the new television ...ramdom selection....for people to watch when they don't have anyone to talk to. Thought I'd also put the slideshow from our trip last year on the small picture frame that sits on the wine refrigerator in the dining room. It's out of the way but people might enjoy seeing it. Looks like we'll have at least 25 people...and the rain is supposed to be pouring!!!!

Gotta wake up Jim...it's nearly 8 am and we need to go to church in half an hour.
