Up about 7 am...posted my final blog on Egypt/Jordan...will start the 2000 trip tomorrow.

Weight at 134 lbs....I think the scales are broken!!

Left about 9 am...went to Downey first to meet the tenants about the handicap parking issue. Jim is afraid someone is going to push the issue so after 60 years he is having one put in to meet the State minimum requirements. We also picked up rent money and then headed for Pasadena where we spent five hours at the Huntington Library and Museum. Did all of the buildings...there are several and then the Chinese and Japanese gardens. Really beautiful and well worth the time especially since we had free tickets. Jim ordered them before we went to Florida. The first Thursday of each month is free but the tickets go really fast.

We had extra tickets and gave some to the Westmorelands. They brought their son Scott (the Disney artist) with them. I talked to Scott about putting his 11 year old son together with Miriam Niomiller Brougher's granddaughter Maya (also about 11) in NYC as pen pals....well...since I've gotten home I've accomplished the introductions and both kids and parents are thrilled. Do hope it works out for them...the kids are about the same age and both very bright.
