Up at 5:30 am....there was a buzzer going off....the smoke
alarm in the hall...just a short beep every once in a while....took the cover
off...it's all electrical ... no battery.
But by leaving the cover off it seems to have stopped. But once up....I stayed up. Very cold...41 degrees per the kitchen clock.
Weight at 135 lbs....not bad considering the Chinese dinner
last night. I'm happy. And...we didn't walk yesterday either.
Back to working on Quicken for the day. Still need to get Jim to sit down with me for
a couple of hours and go over the speech. Paid estimated income taxes today for
4th quarter. Stock market doing
well...heading upwards nicely.
10:15 am Went for a
2 mile walk around lake with Jim....COLD wind....
11:15 am
breakfast: dates, hard boiled
egg, slices of cheese, coffee
I found the ear buds for my cell phone...works good with
phone still in pocket...nice
The smoke alarm...Jim finally woke up at 9 am...he worked on
it...doesn't want to get a new one so finally decided that if he bent the
tester button back it would be quiet...I did test it with a candle to make sure
it still activated okay. We'll see...we
have discovered that if we put the fan on it ... it will stop buzzing.
lunch...can't remember but I know it wasn't much...after the
mail came I went to the bank with the last rent check and then shopping. Compared prices of TurboTax and Quicken at
Costco and then Wal-Mart...purchased he Quicken at Wal-Mart and will go back to
Costco for the TurboTax.
Home about 5 pm....ate dinner: salad with small amount of dressing, lettuce,
cheese & ham.
Dessert: Carmel candy
from coffee table.
Jim worked with me on a run through with the slides on the
first half...stopped at Italy...took us about 40 minutes.
Then we watched The Good Wife together, then I watched
Switched at Birth and then we watched Downton Abbey together.
More work on the draft with the corrections we made during
the run through this evening before shower and bed with a final chapter of my
book...nearly half way through now.
Lights out at midnight....long day.
