Tuesday, January 15th, 2013

Woke to the smoke alarm at 4 am....Jim took the cover off but it continued so we put the fan on under it and sure enough it stopped.

I did get back to sleep and woke again at 7 am.  Weight at 134 lbs......dropped that pound again!  I tried to turn off the fan and it immediately starting buzzing full time!!  Fan is back on and Jim can deal with it.

Did I mention that he has turned the pump off on the spa and has filled the pool with a huge amount of bleach.  He said it would probably turn a black shirt white in seconds!!!  LOL  But aqt this point not willing to move forward on that issue.

It was 41 degrees in the kitchen again this morning ... at 7 am so that means that it was even colder during the night.  Will be glad when warm weather arrives again!

Jim got up about 8:30 am...we turned off the fan...and it was quiet...maybe because the house was warmer by now....and then he disconnected it.  We'll buy a new one in a day or two.

10 am    1/2 a banana

At 11 am we went for our walk...still cool enough for gloves & hats but not nearly as cold as yesterday...and there was almost no wind.  2 miles around the lake.

11:30 am...bowl of cereal....

Waiting to hear from Mary about Phil's test today....Jim goes in at 2:30 for his scan....and life goes on.   We've talked....she called while I was at Wal-Mart....Phil did test...no results for a week or so.  He wants to drive half hour by himself tonight....I told her I don't think that's a good idea....

Tried to install 2013 Quicken...bad disk...so drove back to Wal-Mart to get a new one.  This one worked but needed a "patch" to make it connect with the internet to register...required to get the stock price updates!   Used on line help and got that done.

Lunch:   About 2 pm...taco shell with cheese & salza...

Dinner:  5 crackers with butter & jam

7 pm...off to girls night out at Mary Spicers....a fun evening...we were all talking at once...like five different conversations at the same time...you could hardly hear each other.  But lots of fun.  There were a dozen of us.  We drank wine and ate, ate, ate.....

9:30 pm...home and to bed.
