Yesterday Terry & Bonnie went exploring in Orange County....fell in love with Orange and found our Sams...yes....they went shopping! Arrived home about 3 pm. In the meantime Jim ran the vacuum cleaner and I dusted and whipped through the bathrooms for a freshener! The place was a bit cleaner when they arrived home.
Jim put a chicken on the BBQ with baked potatoes and Bonnie & I whipped up a salad. Jenn & Kelly arrived about 5:30 pm....by that time Terry had cleaned the patio table and we sat out there enjoying our cocktail hour...very pleasant weather. By dinner we decided to move the place mats and dishes that I'd sat up in the dinning room to the patio and enjoyed our dinner there. After dinner Terry washed and loaded the dishwasher while the rest of us picked up and put away and Jim opened the boat and we all took our wine glasses for a cruise around the lake in the dark! A fun evening and by 9 pm everyone was headed off to bed.
This morning Terry & Bonnie took off for Los Angeles just before 9 am. Bonnie & I whipped up the greek yogurt with nectarines for breakfast for us and Terry was waiting for a stop at Starbucks on the way out. Not sure what they are going to do tonight...Bill may come home with them or they may head up the coast and spend the night north of Los Angeles. We have a birthday party to go to for our friends that we met in Egypt that come every year for the boat parade...they live over by LAX....Paul will be 80 years old this weekend.
Right now the house is very quiet....Jim has left to go watch Ben do a cross country run...he is extremely good and fastest runner of all the freshman and sophomore at his school. Last week he did 3 miles in under 18 minutes in 100 degree weather. This week it is cooler so will be interesting to hear his time. Russ has finally started his remodel....they got all the official permits last week and will be ready to pour the foundation on Monday...Tuesday at the latest.
