Arrived at the airport about 6:30 am...checked in ... They had to take Phil's batteries out of my suitcase and inspect them....he said "are you carrying lots of jewelry or other metals?" .... no ...just 3 heavy batteries for power tools..... Tried the Internet but they charge for it in Ontario so didn't go online. Did talk to Jenn by phone regarding Big Bear. Flight left right on time at 7:55 am and we arrived 8 minutes early in Las Vegas.
Before I left this morning I ate the last hard boiled egg (peeled it last night)...and drank coffee on the way to the airport. Here in Las Vegas I purchased a chicken & bacon on flatbread at Subway which I will eat before boarding. Had them cut it in half so may save some for later. Also picked up a banana for later as I don't arrive in Tampa until after 8 pm.
I'm to call Mary just before we leave Las Vegas and we might be using the cell phone lot and they will pick me up in front instead of parking....sounds like a great idea to me.
Thursday evening...
Arrived early and Mary & Phil were there to pick me up...they said the cell phone lot had a bathroom, free wireless and a large monitor tracking flights. Really great. We were tucked into bed by 10:30 pm
Food wise I ate my banana and the sandwich plus some nuts & crackers that they passed out on the plane. Did not eat anything before bed after I arrived.
