Still at 133 lbs this morning. Chinese dinner was a great success once we all arrived. Traffic was terrible because of the oil rig that caught fire on the 60 Freeway. We'd planned to go to Monterey Park on the 10 freeway but that was also the detour for all of those scheduled to use the 60 freeway to go to Los Angeles. It took us twice as long to get there...and other people attending had an even greater problem. But what a dinner. We were the only ones from Bowers...all the others are involved in the writing of the book and/or the producing of the documentary film about Jack's brother Bill who was a bull fighter in Spain and Mexico.
We ended up with all of the leftovers....including an unexpected surprise when we arrived home to find that they'd also put the pig's face and feet into a box for us. We had roasted pig as one of the courses and it came with everything! Also...fish, lobster, beef, shrimp, etc. etc. etc. Good thing I'd only eaten a banana for the day as I made up for it last night.
Back to Barbara's house today....going to help her wrap her gifts and finish her cards.
