Yesterday was a shopping day. Went to Barbara's in the morning after the gym to take her photo CD's from our trip. Then I went to Staples...had a $30 coupon (from returning used ink cartridges) and purchased $19 speakers for my desktop. Then to Best Buy....looked but didn't buy anything and then to Costco. Took those things home and then went to Fry's for a new Calendar program...they only had 2 ... I'd looked at all the other stores and they didn't have one...this one was just under $30....my old one wouldn't work in the new desktop. So now I'm back to square one with the program....I'm still hoping that my photo adobe works...haven't tried that one yet.
Russ had asked me to purchase them each a Coby earphone like we have...it has noise cancelling in it....great for the airplane. I'd gotten ours at Frys for $39. They didn't have them anymore but did find them on Amazon.com for only $23 each...even with postage of $10 it was a good deal.
Food wise I'll try to do what I did yesterday: bfk: banana & coffee lunch: 2 tb peanut butter and a snack of nuts...dinner was a chicken salad. Yes...I'm out of the candy and will do cottage cheese instead of peanut butter....I cleaned the bottom of the jar yesterday.
Wish I was as good as sister Mary about my food...can't believe how good she is doing....you go girl!
Worked all afternoon yesterday and evening on research for our Paris trip in June. Updated the airlines...some small changes on flight numbers. We're really going to have to trot between flights on the way over. I don't think we'll be able to make our connection at Boston on the way home because of going thru customs but that's okay...we'll just deal with it.
I checked on the dinner on the Seine River Cruise...it's going to be about 1500 euros....but we both agree we want to do it. Looking at Monday evening. They have just started selling tickets for the Eiffel Tower on line....I think we may do that .... thinking about going to Versailles by train on Thursday so we don't have the weekend crowds. Not sure if Holly and Mary are going with us on that as they've both been there several times. We'll get their 6 day Museum Pass on Wed. when we arrive and then use it for the first time on Thursday...that way they will have it for going in and out of multiple museum for the rest of the stay. We may not have any of the remodel money left after the wedding and this trip...but I don't care....we'll do the replacement of the kitchen appliances and then go from there.
UPDATED 5 PM....
