Happy Easter....Jay and family arrived yesterday before noon...we had a full day...lots of visitors and then at 6 pm Wendy took everybody to dinner at Joaquins Mexican Restaurant. I'd hard boiled a dozen eggs and Holly help Tom and Lily dye them. Both still believe so we fixed the baskets after they went to bed. Too much candy in the house....that with the mexican food put 2 pounds on the scales this morning.

We were all up just after 7 am and went to 9 am mass....We decided to go to the mass in the hall...they have one that starts after each of the regular masses on Christmas & Easter in the hall that was originally our church until the new one was built. Russ was scheduled to usher and Ben and Katie to be altar servers so we all decided to go. I'd forgotten how pretty it is with the front open...the stained glass windows are so beautiful. It was packed and we had Jenny & Brian (she and Kelly did the Easter Vigil Mass last night & Alyssa was working at the other church), Wendy & Josh (Matt had to work and joined us at the house during his lunchhour), Joe & Laura (Corey came over to the house later), Jay, Holly & Kids....we filled a full row down front.

We arrived home just after 10 am and Kelly had the brunch on the table....Jim had cooked the ham yesterday and he had it sliced, scrambled the eggs and cooked the rolls....so nice to come home to the food ready and waiting. Divided the eggs into 2 hunts...Tom & Lily....then the four older ones: Josh, Katie, Ben & Anthony....Lily took the prize with the most money....I need to cut back on the amount I use as there just aren't as many for the hunt! They all go home with at least $20 in their pockets...even the oldest ones. Jason & Nicole decided to just do Joe & Laura's this afternoon so I fixed a basket to send home with Laura for him.

Laura talked with Warren yesterday and he heard the blast that killed the 2 from Yorba Linda...they were all on the move from the old camp to the new one. However, he did not know them personally. Scary to think that he was that close to them. He is scheduled to come home the end of May at this time...keep him in your prayers.

Food today>>>way too much....deviled eggs, potato salad, bread, candy, candy, candy!!

But the good news is that I fit into a pair of dress pants that I haven't been in for several years. My plan is to just have a salad tonight. I did sent 90% of the candy home....
