Up about 7 am...Lily was up and soon Tom appeared...the adults are still sleeping and it's nearly 8 am. Have the heater on...it's cool this morning but the skies are clear. I'm going to the gym at 9 am with my friend Carolyn and the kids are scheduled to leave this morning for San Diego and their mini vacation at the zoo...legoland, etc. They drive home from San Diego on Friday.
Great basketball game last night! The Butler Univ Bulldogs nearly beat Duke Univ in a Final Four Series! Very exciting....they only lost by 2 points...the final throw nearly tied the game! The announcer said: Butler did not lose a game even though Duke may have won the game. They definitely gave it their all.
Back to good food....will have an oatmeal for breakfast before I go to the gym.
Today is the burial of the 19 year old soldier who was killed by a roadside bomb in Afghanistan. Laura talked to Warren on Saturday and he heard the blast that killed the two soldiers. Scary. A group of us are going to walk to the blvd at 11 am to stand watch as his funeral procession heads for the military cemetery in Riverside after the Mass at St. Martin's. So sad...he is an only child of a divorced family. Born and raised here in Yorba Linda.
I purchased my upgrade for Microsoft Office yesterday at Costco...$239....but it worked. I had to put the disk from the 2003 version in the computer at one point and that was all it took...never had to call Microsoft....so now I have publisher again and can make my photo pages for the coffee table books. Now I have to find a calender program as this computer will not take my old one....will need it to make the family calendars. That should be an inexpensive program.
Had long talk with Bonnie yesterday and a good talk with Mary...so had my family fix. Also called Betty and talked for a while.
