Saturday was very interesting...I drove two hours to San Diego...arrived right on time at 1 pm...the time on the invitation. They didn't seem ready when I arrived? I was there for 45 minutes and no one had arrived....so made my excuses and left. Two hours later at home Mary Francis said, "oh mother...they never come at the stated time...always an hour or so later..." Who was I to know. But I did make the effort but don't think I will do that again. They can come here if they want to see us. Definately Mexican and in living in a scary neighborhood! I wouldn't go there at night for all the tea in China....iron bars on all the windows! Her parents own the house and they rent a room from them. Mother is currently living in an apartment with new 5 month old boy and 5 years old daughter. An 11 yr old daughter lives with the father in the house. And, they have a couple of the bedrooms rented out to other people....I asked....and was told that only one of them is still there and she should be gone soon. Mother is now talking about moving back into the house so I guess they've patched up the marital problems whatever they were.
Saturday evening Mary and Tushar cooked an Indian meal and we had Joe & Laura over for dinner. Wendy, Keith and Josh arrived from the Anniversary dinner in time for dessert. It was a very enjoyable evening.
I made it through the weekend at 129 lbs on Monday so I guess it's okay...probably better to lose slowly. Sunday was church...Wendy came again...Mary was having some stomach problems...she thinks she's eating too much cheese...we've got lots of good cheeses in the house...and probably not enough greens. She thought that she had irritable bowel syndrome in past but doctor said no...she just needs to eat balance meals....and it seems to be working. But she definitely had problems yesterday.
Jim and Mary drove Tushar to the airport and I babysat....I walked him around the lake for 2 miles after I finally figured out how to get the seat into the stroller frame...not easy until you figure it out. He went to sleep but awoke when I returned home...wanted to held standing up...I'd about tossed him in the lake when they returned home. But the good news is that they feed him rice cereal yesterday for the first time. And he's starting to sip water from a cup.
Today we are washing the car, getting our hair cut, watching Josh play a roller hockey game and going to the gym this afternoon....Mary is going with us and she will swim while we are exercising. Well Anthony and Mary are up so it's time to say goodbye.
