Wow...it's been a few days since I wrote.  Yesterday was a busy day....good news...even after yesterday....is that I've kept my weight at 133 for a week.  Yesterday morning I walked my two miles.  Then at noon I met Carolyn and we went to Mimi's in Yorba Linda for lunch.  Ate and talked for two hours.  I had a cup of onion soup, ate 1/2 of a ceasar salad and a very small piece of dark bread.  Only drank ice tea without sugar.

At 4:30 Jim and I dressed up a bit and headed for Los Angeles.  Our neighbors, Tom & Karen Rosas, gave us tickets including parking for a play at the Mark Taper Forum in downtown LA....in the music center.  Jim had researched restaurant...yeh...looking for duck....and found one fairly close to the music center in the Warehouse District.  They are what one would call "edgy"....old warehouse buildings that are being converted to very chic loft apartments and restaurants.  This is probably less than two years old.

We arrived early...traffic was not as bad as we thought...so we walked into the bar across the street from the restaurant and had a drink before returning to the restaurant for dinner at 6 pm.  It was a French restaurant and the food was listed with the French names and then English explanations...Jim had duck and I had lamb...very European...small portions with wonderful presentation.  I enjoyed another glass of wine and then we shared a  lemon tart dessert.  $98.00 + tip; but we really enjoyed the experience and decided to call it our anniversary treat.   Check it out on the Internet....Church & State Restaurant...1850 Industrial Street, Los Angeles.

The lofts are priced in a range from $300,000. for a studio...up to several million ... per the bartender.   I'm going to check them out today on the Internet.  "Red Brick Lofts" and "Bisquit Com. Lofts" ...rumor has it that Kevin Spacey and Nicolas Cage might own one of these.

The play....really bad....we left half way through.  A monolog...sing song musical....mostly bare stage...but lots of fun to see the music center again.  We haven't been there in years.

Home before 10 pm; we watched another eposide of "Chopped" on the food network.  We both like this show....check it out.
