Happy April Fool's day. Well it's the last day before we leave on our two month journey. The house is quiet as I sit in the kitchen on my laptop. Thank the Lord for small favors...the weight was down a pound at 128. Mary & Phil left yesterday for the 30 day cruise by flying to Sydney for 3 days before boarding the ship. I'm anxiously awaiting news from them of a safe arrival. Our plan is to Skype on Tuesday after we arrive in Paris.
Joshua, Amy, Maya and Ben arrived safely from New York City just before 11 pm on Friday night. We'd closed our suitcases for the final time on Friday afternoon. The Milsteins are staying in our house for a week; Amy is the daughter a high school friend that I follow her unschooling blog. We met in NYC last fall and I invited them to spend a vacation at our house.
Looks like they will really enjoy themselves. The plan is to fly home on the red eye on Saturday the 14th.
