HOME FROM ENGLAND

Gosh...I'm going to have to start all over on my French...never had a minute to work on it in England. But...up about 7:30 am...weight down a pound from yesterday so I'm at 128 lbs...or is that stones. Since English money is referred to as "pounds" their weights are called "stones". I finished my blog with the trip home yesterday evening.

Worked on bookkeeping, laundry and unpacking yesterday. When I arrived home Wednesday night I didn't even attempt to open any suitcases. I saw that they'd taken the ties off of my checked luggage but nothing was missing and they'd put new black ties on the suitcase...probably happened in London. But...I never noticed when I picked up case to go through Customs in Minneapolis. ??

Had some dry cereal for breakfast yesterday, a smoothie for lunch and then mexican food last night at the club house...our annual dinner and boat parade meeting. It's going to be interesting this year as we're splitting the parade into two segments... a staggered start...so that people at the back will start into different channels and with a small gap in between we will be on more parts of the lake at the same time. Also...those at the back will not just be sitting in the center of the lake waiting for their turn to start...that's part of the reason that some run out of battery before they are finished. All the house on the north side (including us) will be in the "B" group and go second...the south side will be in the "A" group and head towards our channel first. They've done a dry run that went well. On Thursday, Dec. 8th...we're going to do a practice run with all of our lights on and everything...dress rehearsal...so that people will know what to do. We're going to have Joe come over and do it with us as he drives the boat on Saturday night.

Everybody seemed happy with the plan last night. The Master Association has also paid for a Hollywood style sound system that will provide the same music through large speakers for the entire lake. Nearly two thousand dollars to do it. It's going to be an interesting year.

Hopefully God will provide us with wonderful weather for both evenings!

Good to be back online with you....
