Awake about 6 am....weight finally back to 135 lbs...now if I can just keep going down...wouldn't that be nice. Yesterday was banana and salads plus I did do two half sandwiches of strawberry jam.

We leave today for San Francisco....looks like we may get a very late start because of work requirements at Jenn's office. Have decided to rent a hotel....we got a real deal at an older one that we've used alot over the years....it dropped it's national franchise.....for $120 for two nights. Not bad and it's very close to Jay's house.

We've going to a hotel because the plans have changed and Jenn & Kelly are staying at Jay & Hollys which is great as it will be easier tonight not to drive into the city to take them to Mary's. Long story but all is well.

Had a great talk over Skype with Alyssa on Wednesday. I mailed her a box with Us & Star magazines that are all about the royal wedding, a family calendar (without the new baby....she has yet to arrive) jars of peanut butter, candy, instant oatmeal paks, and other dry foods that filled up the box. Amazing...$45.00 to mail....but I think she'll enjoy the treats.

The kids are planning a surprise birthday party for Jim's 75th....do hope we can pull it off. He's never had a birthday party as an adult so it should be fun. They're going to roast him and I have to find old photos that are funny. Jay is flying down for the night to surprise him. Laura & Joe are hosting the event. To get him there I'm telling him that we're driving to Barbara & Johns for dinner but that we have to stop by the Open House at Joe and Laura's first.

Talked to Betty for about 5 minutes last night on cell phone....difficult to understand what she was saying so we didn't talk too long. I've packed up the Christmas gifts for Jay & Mary's families (except for the photo book....will have to mail that as it doesn't arrive until the 7th)...but at least I won't have to ship all of it.

Talked to Bonnie yesterday and they are NOT coming to California....they are heading back to New Hampshire asap....Terry has several projects to finish so that they can put the house on the market in the spring....also....her neices both want to spend a few days in New York during the holidays so that will keep her busy....they will be spending Christmas in N.H......dogs are staying in Florida.
