Well, I'm typing on my new laptop. An Asus 12.1 laptop...about 3 lbs. Now that I figured out how to install Firefox on the "desktop" which is one of many windows on the new menu....I'm a happy camper. I can hopefully continue to use this program and slowly learn the ins and out of the new Menu that has finger controls...
I paid about $600 when the taxes and everything were added including $120 for 2013 version of Microsoft Office...student version that has powerpoint but not publisher and that's okay. Haven't loaded that yet but have put Adobe Flash Player and Adobe Reader on along with Picasa and AVG.
It's been a long morning....I called the help man on the screen and he worked with me for about half an hour and then said it would be $259. to do what I was asking...that included a 1 year version of AVG type program.....I said no...he said he could do part of it for $100 and I said no...we said goodbye.
We have friends coming for a boat ride this evening and then dessert while we watch their photos from their trip to Alaska that they just returned from. We met them at OLLI....have been to their house for a party. He also owns a Porsche so Pete and Jim get along great.
Sounds like your having a great time with your new computer. Jane and I took a golf cart ride with glasses of wine all over the park. Was a fun time for us both.
