Up at 6 am...took my pill...went back to bed until 7. After getting lucky and before coffee the scale said 128 lbs...I'm thrilled to be back there after floating above 130 for nearly a week. The overnight with Carolyn was disastrous for my weight.
Today is Laura's birthday....Joe's wife. Plan to stop by today and give her the gift card as we so rarely see them. Octoberfest is happening at church this weekend...don't think we're going. I did my volunteer hours with the Rummage Sale for this event. Also purchased our raffle tickets that they mail to each parishioner.
Tonight we go to the clubhouse at 5 pm and they take us in a Hummer Limo to the Wine Shop on our downtown Main Street for an evening of fun. Our neighbor Bill Kritzburg is the featured artist for the evening along with food and music. This is the first event like this...will be interesting to see how it goes.
Expecting some hot weather for the next few days. So...plan to stay inside and work on my speech for next February 21st at OLLI. So glad that Mary was able to send me her speech and photos yesterday so I will have a base to start with. Her talk was for 30 minutes...I need to do 90 minutes.
Loved reading Mary's answers for her granddaughter in her blog. Good history....
We're off to walk our 2 miles in a few minutes. I've been pretty good about getting 4 miles in each day this week.
